Many people conduct their businesses online nowadays and the importance, or need, for a bank account in the USA will present itself at some stage.  Especially where Paypal is concerned.

Why?

* One of the reasons is that Paypal only support payments to a bank accounts in a limited range of countries. The problem being with the withdrawal process. If you are not resident in one of these range of countries then Paypal will expect you to have a US bank account.

*  If you conduct business outside of the US but conduct business within the US you will need a US bank account.

Opening a US bank account is not straightforward as the information is not readily available online - unless a hefty charge is involved.  But now there is a way.

Last week I wrote about how hard hit the restaurant trade is at the moment. You could understand the smaller guys finding things tough but a Michelin-starred joint…?

Super-cranky chef Gordon Ramsey has just seen his third restaurant, La Noisette, close in just under six months. His other closures were the Connaught and the Savoy Grill. It has been said that poor reviews were mostly to blame but I wonder…

Ramsey is, unlike past famous chefs, a good and astute business man - he’s a Scot afterall! but it still has not stopped these disasters occurring for him. Whilst the population might still retain their appetite for good food it is obvious that spending the equivalent of a weeks wages on a meal for two people has lost it’s appeal.
