For those of you who remember the dos command line, you’ll remember that there were a whole lot more options on the commands than you can easily access from the usual Windows interface.

Now, whilst the Windows interface is a great development for most users, for power users and programmers it’s very easy to run off the end of the capabilities of that interface.

Until now that is. Now you can get all that power back in your hands but without losing the ease of use of the Windows metaphor via TC9. It looks essential for those of us who miss the ability to run up quick little batch files.

Taking time out for leisure

Posted by Wendy under Commercial, Health, Shopping

How much time do you spend away from the office or workplace? I am not talking about time spent at home rather than actual leisure time. Okay, you might consider it leisure to simply relax on the sofa and watch some television or potter about in the garden but how much real exercise do include in your spare time?

I suggest you have good think about this; making the time to do something completely different to your business life is important for the mind and the body. For your morale as well. A good suggestion is golf. It combines lots of walking in the fresh air, will develop your concentration skills and yet does not make too many demands on the body.  Have a good think about it; grab yourself some Callaway irons and get some lessons. Now, remember that at the off you will discover that it is not all as easy as the Pro’s make it appear to be but approach the sport with the intention of having some fun. Nothing too serious unless you are the type who sets themselves high goals…

I bet it will make a real difference to your life.
