I was speaking to some folk from the US just yesterday; they are from Seattle and North Carolina and were telling me about how little their money is buying for them over here in Europe/UK. This got me thinking about the current exchange rates between the pound, euro and US dollar. If you are planning a holiday over in the States this year I would be thinking right now about getting my hands on some US dollars.
One key factor to the US/£ exchange rate is the difference between our interest rates and as it stands it’s looking as good as it’s going to get. US rates are extremely low and though they could get lower, as could ours of course, so the difference is probably as wide as it will go. Besides, the pound is weakening against the euro and other major currencies and could quite easily fall considerably against the dollar.
So if you are thinking of places like DisneyWorld for sometime this year arm yourself with some US currency now…and don’t forget that travel insurance!

The US dollar might be experiencing some woes right now but that still shouldn’t affect your vacation plans, in fact, you will be thinking of how to get the most for your money right now. Regardless of the economic climate plenty of people still go on vacation every year having put a lot of thought and planning into where they want to go and where they want to stay.
I thought I would do a nice little shopping article today just for the girls, as I reckon we are all worth it. How often do you treat yourself to some beautiful lingerie? when was the last time you bought yourself something that was nothing other than pure indulgence ?
