A new roof…at last!

We have been sitting with a couple of holes in our kitchen roof for more time than I care to mention – anyway, I have written about it here in the past and the problems we have had getting builders to come out and as much as give us a quote. It was turning into a real saga but now we have a man on the job and he starts work on Thursday morning.

We have to shift the fridge and upright freezer right up to the other end of the kitchen and that is not an easy task to do due to the space restrictions; one of the holes is right over the kitchen faucet and sink so he has to be able to get into that area without any hassles. It should take a couple of days so long as the dry weather holds out – fingers crossed that the rains stay away until the weekend then it can bucket down as much as it likes.
