Are you dreaming of a white xmas…or a warm one?

I am not dreading xmas this year as much as I have for the past six years; it is not that I am an old Scrooge or anything – I love the festivities – but in our part of France in December it was absolutely freezing cold. Northern Ireland is not exactly beach weather but it does not render you frozen solid either…

In xmas 2007 we took off for Valencia in Spain for a break from the wintry conditions in the south of France and it seems a good time of year to consider somewhere like Florida. The USA actually offers very reasonable prices accommodation-wise for xmas breaks and you can get a great choice of cheap hotels in miami if you start making some plans now.

Bear in mind that this holds from October pretty much through to Easter so you’ve plenty of time to have a think about it.
