I will put my hand up and admit that I too have left it almost until the last minute to do my Xmas shopping, in fact I am not even halfway through it yet although I have taken care of the gifts bought for my family abroad – those were all bought online and posted a while back. Fortunately Australia does not suffer from inclement weather during December…
British folk though are having it tougher with the terrible weather having affected postal deliveries to many parts of the UK, Scotland in particular – the poor Scots have had a rough time of it lately with the heavy snows. Amazon are usually pretty fast with their deliveries but they have a lot of customers complaining that they still have not received items supposedly despatched in the first week of December, I have posted Amazon items to my son in Germany and he has already received them and they have heavy snow as well…so what gives?
If you were considering doing your last minute shopping online – and it usually is the better way to do it – you might have to reconsider as the weather is expected to get worse over the remaining ten days. I suggest you pull your boots on, wrap up warm and get to the shops while you can, don’t rely on the postie this December!
