Well, not in that sense – he gets plenty of my time as it is. Actually he needs a good watch as the only thing he uses is his mobile phone and I am trying to encourage him to rely on that thing a lot less. I hate the blasted things!

Anyway, I want to get him a really cool timepiece – he was looking at fob watches but they are not really practical for eighteen year old boys. Something like a nice michael kors watch would be perfect – though he wants digital and I want him to have one with hands…digital watches make you lazy.

I have been calculating how long it has been since I had a holiday and worked out that it has been almost three years. We went to Venice in November 2008 and even though that was not the best time of year to visit the watery city it was still mild enough to enjoy the three days we had there. We are looking into taking off for somewhere warm in August, July is a non-runner for us right now, and I really don’t care where it is so long as the sun is shining and there is plenty of sand and sea at my fingertips. I would love to get out my beach gear, buy a pair of Costa Del Mar Sunglasses and a new bikini (it’s been a while since I wore one of those!) and stock up on tanning oil. And to think I grew up in Australia where such items were part of my everyday living…

I would love to go to Dubai – nice dry heat, the beach and not the humidity you get in other places. And the shopping aspect is not too bad either.
