I went and did a really crazy thing twenty-five years ago…I gave birth to my first child right after Xmas which was nice in most ways but ever since has made it quite expensive come birthday time. My son thinks he hit the jackpot though – Xmas presents one week and then birthday presents and parties the next. He loves it.
He lives abroad and he really wanted a PS3 for his birthday from me this year which was a little complicated to arrange but he was prepared to wait an extra few days so I could get one delivered to him. It’s arrival coincided with him being bed-bound with a bad case of strep throat so he had every excuse to lie in bed playing with his new present
