I have been making up my little wishlist for Xmas this year – not to give to someone so that he actually buys me something I want for a change – but because I now am back in the land of the working woman and intend to buy myself some nice things for Xmas this year. I deserve it I reckon.
Since my youngest started school this year I hit the job trail seriously and have landed a job that allows me to get the kids off to school as well as collect them afterwards as well – suits me just fine. And there is the lovely thought of that first paypacket…although your pay goes into the bank account directly these days instead of into your hand. It is not quite the same as getting that little yellow paper packet of cash placed in your hand – and if anyone remembers those days before direct debits they will know what I mean. I have had my eye on a bracelet which is encrusted with diamonds that would look very nice on my wrist.
I cannot complain that I have been neglected in that area; himself has bought me some nice pieces from swarovski which I treasure. But being able to treat myself…that’s a nice feeling
