Is anyone ready to start planning for Christmas yet…?

I bet that’s a question that would make most women throw their hands in the air and scream – especially if you really had to rack your brains to think of christmas gifts for dad. Well, it would not be an understatement to say that the majority of families found Christmas 2011 a little harder financially than previous ones and it was no different in our house. I am not into making new year resolutions but this year I have resolved to actually save some money each month this year for next Christmas – just to make things a bit easier.

I know it’s not proper finance to do things this way but I have a nice big jar set aside into which will go £50 a month over the year – and I am really going to make the effort. I think most of us are used to going without things these days so at least we can save a little money doing so.
