Most hotels these days offer a television in the guest rooms but this is one area where we have had problems with our place. Due to the thickness of the stone walls and the location of the aerial we have only been able to instal TV in one guest room. And it has been something of a problem for some people as they like their TV.
What we did was place a home theatre system in a common room off the foyer with home theater seating to give the room the effect of a small cinema and it has been a real success. Especially during the Europe Cup a few months back.
We have also added some little extras like bowls of nibblies and crisps as well as some cold drinks for guests to help themselves to whilst relaxing in there. The feedback has been excellent and that is what counts most of all.
