Natural Health Practitioner

Posted by Wendy under career talk

More people today are turning to natural health alternatives to find better and more drug-free methods to heal their bodies and create better health for themselves.

This is where the Natural Health Practitioner comes into it.  This area of work no longer carries the term quack to those who practice - so long as that person is well qualified - and there are now recognised and accredited courses designed to train practitioners. The areas you can specialise are:

* Holistic Nutrition

* Naturopathy

* Herbology

You will be trained to guide people through the more natural approach to health, nutrition and healing using methods such as the colon cleanser ( not so much a trend anymore these days but a necessity for many people) and use of herbs and plant extracts.

Finding a course that is accredited by a recognised University/College is the best way to gain the best qualifications.

  1. Kate Golle Said,

    Natural Health is definately the way to go and is very rewarding. I opened our centre Body Brilliant Wellness & Detox Lounge on the Gold Coast, Australia over 2 years ago and the difference we have been able to make in peoples lives from all over the world has been amazing. We offer Cleanse & Detox Programs, Colon Hydrotherapy, Massage and Far Infrared Saunas to help our clients purge potentially kilos of undigested food and waste from their colon.
    The health benefits are amazing and better still - it is all natural. Everyone should make time for their body and do a minimum of a 7 day cleanse once or twice a year. Your body will thank you for it!

  2. Wendy Said,

    Hi Kate. I agree with you; even conventional doctors are now combining science with natural therapy rather than prescribing ‘drugs’ for certain conditions.
    I think if more people took the natural therapy route rather than reaching for the antibiotics all the time our bodies would learn how to heal themselves more effectively.

    Thanks for your comments and all the best!
