It’s official – PC World is the least popular place to buy a computer and also offers the poorest customer service to customers. I am not surprised, have you ever overheard a staff member ‘selling’ a PC to a prospective buyer?
Here’s an example: just recently we stood by and listened (couldn’t help it) as a male staff member spun a lot of nonsence to a middle aged couple interested in a small Acer computer. It had 512MB of memory with 4GB disc space and he was telling this couple that it would run Vista as well as play music cd’s while they ‘surfed the web’. For a start anyone knows that to run Vista adequately you need at the very least 2GB of memory (it takes up so much space) and as the computer had no drive to run discs how were they going to play their cd’s on it…?
That couple were being sold a computer that would barely do anything! but it was a laugh listening to the rubbish they were being told. In an age where young people know computers like the backs of their hands how come PC world employ so many who do not…?
