There’s work around if you want it

Just this past week I decided to visit the local job centre to see what’s on offer jobs-wise in the area. With all the talk about the credit crunch and high unemployment I kept an open mind about my prospects.

Actually I was quite amazed at how many jobs vacancies I had to choose from, and I’m not talking about jobs requiring college degrees or MBA’s, but positions in shops, hotels and the like. Having been self-employed for the past five years it was a new experience applying for work again but I think I have hit the jackpot.

Having worked in the hospitality trade for five years I was able to apply for a great little position in a local coffee lounge having plenty of portable credit card machine and customer service experience up my sleeve. All being well I shall be starting work next week - after being self employed for so long I am looking forward to being PAID for my work.

A pay cheque at last!
