Top earning couples – that’s teamwork!

JAY-Z and wife Beyonce Knowles earned a combined, whopping, $122 million last year putting them at the top of the Forbes annual Top-Earning Couples list.
The list includes actors, musicians and professional athletes. Not me though…

The couple contribute significantly to their joint earnings. Last year Beyonce made more money than her husband, bringing in $87 million to his $35 million. The couple also topped last year’s list with $162 million. Surprisingly Harrison Ford and his girlfriend, Calista Flockhart, came in second place earning a combined total of $69 million.

Almost all of that money came from his work in ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’. Ford and producers Spielberg and Lucas made a deal with Paramount on the movie that gave them a major portion of the film’s earnings after the studio broke even. As a result Ford earned an incredible $65 million. Flockhart’s contribution comes from her work on the TV show ‘Brothers and Sisters’.

In third place golden couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie earned a total of $55 million equally between them both. Pitt had one of the biggest hits of his career last year with ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’, and Jolie active with 2008’s ‘Wanted’ and the upcoming film ‘Salt’.

Will Smith and his wife, Jada Smith, rank fourth with $48 million and rounding off the top five are the Beckham’s. The pair earned $46 million between June 2008 and June 2009. Most of that comes from David Beckham, who played for the Los Angeles Galaxy before his move to Italian giants, A.C. Milan.
