This time next week I shall be strolling around the Piazza San Marco in romantic Venice; lovely thought eh? well, we deserve a break – our first real break for 2008. We had our busiest summer season yet – so much for the credit crunch affecting people’s decision to go on holiday.
I am fully aware of how expensive the shopping is there – I have no illusions about coming back with bagloads of lovely new clothes, the one thing I get excited about when visiting a foreign destination is one thing…the food !!!
We have booked an apartment, which is usually the most economical way to go accommodation-wise and we normally book apartments if our stay is longer than three days. But I have already stated that I shall not be tied to the sink too often – not with all those wonderful restaurants nearby.
I’ll diet the next day…
