My son has proven to be very difficult to buy Xmas presents for this year basically because he celebrated his 16th birthday in July and he got quite spoiled on that occasion. I’ve managed to pick up a few things I know he will love but I wanted something a little different to complete the list.
He is really into WWE wrestling and it looks like it is not going to be another passing fancy as he has expressed interest in taking up wrestling as a sport. We took him along to a few gyms who do instruction – some were not quite up to standard having little in the way of equipment (a few mats, a few ping pong tables here and there and little else…)until we settled on an accredited school in the city. I think it is important to stress that taking up such a body-contact sport means you really need to do some homework so that you know your kid will be tutored by instructors who know what they are about and have the right attitude to the sport. Well, we have bought him a course of lessons as well as association membership to get him started and he is over the moon about it.
I don’t know if he will end up like The Undertaker pictured above, but to be as wealthy as him would be a nice consequence…
